Kingly’s Upcycled Cotton Socks and GOTS Organic Cotton Socks have been shortlisted in the “Sustainable Product of the Year” Category at BPMA’s Product Awards 2022-2023!
Our upcycled cotton socks are among the most sustainable socks on the planet, and we can prove it. They are created with 85% upcycled cotton for comfort, 12% recycled polyamide for strength and 3% elastane for comfort. They are packed as a pair with a free recycled branded sock tag and individual self-seal compostable bag. The bags are created with GMO-free thermoplastic and plasticizer-free material based on natural potato starch. Once disposed of, the bag breaks down in approximately 8 weeks.
Upcycled Cotton provides significant savings in resources. For instance, with a single order of 1000 upcycled cotton socks, you save 2652 kW/h of energy, 1088 kg of C02, 710 530 litres of water, and 120 m2 of landfill. Kingly’s GOTS organic cotton socks are composed of 80% organic GOTS cotton, 17% eco-friendly regenerated polyamide (recycled nylon) and 3% elastane. They are a sustainable alternative to the most popular textile promotional products and are favored by tech giants like Google, Samsung, Facebook, Instagram and many more.

There is no other GOTS producer with an office in the UK that has met the criteria in the same product category – sock manufacturing, as the certification is incredibly difficult to obtain. Furthermore, this certification makes Kingly one of only 52 GOTS-certified sock knitters worldwide. The qualities of the GOTS organic cotton socks created by Kingly have already been acknowledged and awarded the Promotional Gift Award 2022.
All winners of the BPMA Product Awards will be announced in early January with the Grand Prix winner announced on 25th January at Merchandise World. All winning products will be featured in the pre-show issue of Product Media Magazine.
