At Kingly, we’re committed to reducing our environmental footprint and creating a positive impact, and we’re thrilled to share the incredible progress of our partnership with GreenSpark. Within just one year, we’ve planted 21,541 trees—equivalent to over 12 football pitches. We aimed to plant at least 10 trees with every order we got. This initiative is helping to sequester an impressive amount of CO₂, fight deforestation, and alleviate extreme poverty. Some of the UN-approved projects we have supported are “American Forests” (North America), “EarthLungs Reforestation” (Kenya) and “Eden Reforestation” Projects (Nicaragua and Honduras).
The Power of 21,541 Trees
Trees are natural climate warriors, essential in our fight against global warming. With 21,541 trees now planted, we’ve established an area of forest that will sequester approximately 198 tonnes of CO₂ per year as these trees mature. That’s the equivalent of offsetting the emissions from the energy used by 24 average households for an entire year!
Regarding carbon capture, a hectare of fully grown trees can sequester 23 tonnes of CO₂ annually. With over 12 hectares now planted through our GreenSpark partnership, we see the potential for 198 tonnes of annual CO₂ absorption. This large-scale forest growth is helping to counteract industrial emissions and pollution actively, enhancing our contribution to a sustainable planet.
Why Tree Planting Matters
- Carbon Sequestration for Climate Health
Each tree absorbs and stores CO₂, helping to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions. The 198 tonnes of CO₂ sequestered annually by our newly planted trees is a tangible step toward reducing our carbon footprint. As the forest matures, this carbon capture will continue to grow, supporting climate stability for decades to come.

A single hectare of forest can support hundreds of plant and animal species, ensuring healthier ecosystems and more resilient habitats.

Trees play a critical role in preventing soil erosion, particularly in areas prone to flooding and landslides. Their root systems stabilize the soil, reducing the loss of fertile land and helping to retain groundwater. As our forested area grows, it will contribute to improved soil health and water conservation, creating a more stable and sustainable landscape.

Forests help to moderate temperatures by providing shade and releasing moisture into the atmosphere, which can lower local temperatures by several degrees. These cooling effects are especially important in urban areas, where rising temperatures are increasingly affecting public health. By supporting forest growth, we are contributing to healthier, more resilient communities, reducing the impact of climate change on local populations.
