Can I see the manufacturing process?

Yes. Book a factory video call and meet our team. Selected production operates 24/7.

What artwork files should I send?

Please send your logo and artwork as AI or vector PDF files. Vector artwork gives our designers clear shapes and detail to work with. If you only have another format, send it for review and we will advise.

How does the process work?
  1. Send your logo, artwork assets, quantity and required delivery date.
  2. Our designers prepare a selection of designs.
  3. Choose your design, and we produce a knitted sample.
  4. Review the sample photographs, or request the physical sample, and confirm approval.
  5. Production begins following approval and the agreed payment arrangements.

For bespoke development, we first assess feasibility and agree the specification.

Can I receive samples?

Yes. We are happy to send a free sample pack. Physical shipment of your custom knitted approval sample can also be arranged; any charge is confirmed in advance.

Can I change the design or specification after approval?

Contact us as soon as possible. Changes may affect feasibility, price and delivery, depending on the production stage. We confirm any revised costs and dates with you before proceeding.

What determines the price, and are there additional charges?

Product, quantity, yarn, construction, packaging and delivery requirements determine the price. Artwork assistance and standard sample packs are free.

Charges for custom sample shipment, special development, woven labels, custom cartons or transport are identified in your quotation.

Do you import from China, and how do you compete on price?

No. Our socks and knitwear are manufactured in the European Union. We compete through consistent quality, dependable service, responsible production and lasting value, with respect for people and future generations.

Share your specification, quantity and target price. We will review the project and offer the best price we can for the agreed quality, materials and service.

What are the payment terms?

Generally, 50% on order confirmation and 50% before shipment. Credit facilities are available for ongoing orders, subject to agreement.

When does production lead time begin?

From approval of the confirmed knitted sample, with the agreed payment requirements met.

How quickly can you manufacture custom socks?

Eligible Kingly Express™ socks start from 10 working days after sample approval and fulfilment of the agreed payment requirements. Other orders take longer depending on the product, quantity, yarn, season and capacity. Your quotation confirms the production lead time; transit is additional.

Can you work to a fixed event date?

Tell us your required arrival date before ordering. We will assess feasibility, confirm approval deadlines and agree production and delivery arrangements around your event.

Does production time include delivery?

No. We confirm expected dispatch and arrival separately, alongside transport arrangements and the treatment of applicable duties and taxes.

How do repeat orders work?

We retain your approved sample, colour charts and product data sheet. This makes reordering straightforward and can shorten production time, subject to materials and capacity.

Is Kingly a genuine EU manufacturer?

Yes. We manufacture through Kingly facilities and EU production partners where applicable. We explain who makes your product and where.

How good is your service?

You have a named contact and direct access to the people managing your design, production and delivery. European supply chains support closer coordination and visibility.

Your specification, approvals and delivery plan are agreed clearly, helping you manage your customer’s expectations with confidence.

Is artwork assistance free?

Yes. Three dedicated graphic designers support you throughout design and approval, creating artwork suitable for manufacture.

What quality controls support my order?

Our ISO 9001 system supports controlled production and consistency. We check against the approved sample, review finishing and packaging, and verify dispatch details.

ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 support environmental management and workplace health and safety.

What happens if there is a problem?

Contact your named Kingly representative. We review the issue, explain the next steps and agree an appropriate resolution.

Has Kingly earned EcoVadis Platinum?

Yes. Kingly earned EcoVadis Platinum in 2024 and 2025. The medal recognises the company’s sustainability management and places it in the top 1% of companies assessed in the relevant period. It is a company rating, rather than a certification of every product.

Does Kingly hold its own certifications?

Yes. Kingly holds GOTS, GRS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications within their applicable scopes and undergoes SMETA four-pillar audits. SMETA is an audit methodology, rather than a certification. Relevant OEKO-TEX® yarn documentation is available where applicable. We confirm the documents and scope relevant to your order.

What evidence can I share with my customer?

We can provide relevant certificates, product specifications and traceability records, with cradle-to-gate life cycle assessment information and digital product passports where available. Cradle-to-gate assessments cover the stated stages up to the factory gate, rather than the product’s entire life. QR codes can link to the applicable product records.

Ask your Kingly representative for the documentation relevant to your chosen product and procurement requirements.

Where can I meet Kingly?

You can meet us at selected trade events, arrange a factory visit or book a video call. Contact our team for current event details. We have also presented our work at the Bulgarian Embassy in London.

What do ambassador visits and embassy showcases mean for Kingly?

We have welcomed diplomatic visitors, including the British Ambassador to Bulgaria, and presented our work in embassy settings. These occasions let diplomatic and business audiences examine our manufacturing, sustainability, education and community achievements firsthand.

What does Kingly Academy™ do?

We open manufacturing to the next generation through school and college visits, internships and practical workshops. Students explore knitting, garment printing and design, then discover how socks, yarn cones and textile offcuts can become something new.

Our two published books extend that learning beyond the factory. Activities include a December 2024 workshop with 33 Gianni Rodari School students, combining manufacturing demonstrations with creative reuse.

Why does this work matter?

Practical experience helps young people discover skills, understand how products are made and recognise the value of materials. We want them to leave with ideas, confidence and a clearer view of opportunities in manufacturing and design.

How does Kingly Cares™ support communities?

We donate our surplus stock and also manufacture socks with custom logos and designs for charities, hospices, community organisations, Rotary clubs, other clubs and people in need.

Our support includes Barnardo’s UK, community centres, hospitals, homeless shelters and other charitable initiatives. Through thousands of donated socks and purposefully made products, we help meet practical needs and support the identity of organisations serving their communities.

What connects Kingly Cares™ and Kingly Academy™?

Both put our founding values into practice: respect for people, education and responsible use of resources. Donations, learning opportunities and community partnerships extend our contribution beyond the products we manufacture.

Can I see evidence of these activities?

Yes. Published project accounts, workshop photographs and partner acknowledgements document specific activities and contributions. You can explore the people, projects and outcomes behind our work.

Can I combine sizes within one order?

Yes. For standard promotional sock orders:

  • 50 pairs: one size.
  • 100 or 150 pairs: two sizes.
  • 500 pairs: three sizes.

We agree the quantities in each size before production. For other quantities or specialised styles, ask us to confirm the available combinations.

Why does white-label presentation matter?

A supplier’s retail brand on the tag or knitted into the sock continues advertising that supplier after delivery. Remove the tag, and the knitted branding remains.

At reorder time, that name gives your customer a route to bypass you. Your branding and contact details help customers return to you for future orders. Kingly follows your agreed branding instructions without adding its promotional logo.

How can I encourage customers to reorder through me?

We recommend your logo and “Supplied by [your company name]” on the sock tag, alongside your website or contact details. This gives customers a clear route back to you, supported by the quality and service you deliver.

Are my designs and customer details confidential?

Yes. We handle your artwork, customer information and commercial details confidentially. Direct deliveries follow the branding, presentation and dispatch instructions agreed with you.

Which custom socks do you manufacture?

Our core range offers different compositions and constructions under each reference:

  • KS01 Invisible: concealed below the shoe line.
  • KS02 Low cut: a short profile.
  • KS03 Quarter: above the ankle.
  • KS04 Crew: classic crew height.
  • KS05 Full custom development: the sock that does not exist yet, developed around your brief.
  • KS06 Mid calf: extended leg coverage.
  • KS07 Below the knee or knee sock: longer styles.
What are Kingly’s hero products and best sellers?
  • KS04 Classic Crew: our promotional best seller.
  • KS11 Sports Crew: movement and performance.
  • KS09 Thermal Crew: warmth and cushioned comfort.
  • KS05 Full Custom Development: bespoke design and construction.

Our specialised range covers workwear, cycling, trekking, mountaineering, rugby, football and other applications.

What makes them retail-quality?

We develop the yarn, fit, construction and finish around the intended use, then check production against the approved sample. The result is designed to be worn, valued and associated positively with your customer’s brand.

Do you offer speciality socks?

Yes. Our range includes Naked Elite, Snug Fit, neon, fluffy, fine merino, ultra-thick merino, children’s and baby socks. Ask us which materials and certification options apply to your chosen style.

What is included with each pair?

Our standard offer includes custom knitted socks in up to six colours, including the background, a free full-colour branded sock tag and an individual certified compostable bag. Your quotation confirms the inclusions for your chosen reference.

What standards does the compostable bag meet?

We can provide the certification and disposal guidance for the bag supplied with your order, including the composting conditions it requires. Compostable packaging should be disposed of through the appropriate collection system; it should never be littered.

Which materials and colours are available?

Cotton, organic cotton, merino, recycled, upcycled and specialist yarns. GOTS-certified and GRS-certified options are available where applicable; we confirm the certification and composition for your chosen product.

Pantone® colour matching is available, with more than 2,700 shades to choose from. Selected custom socks allow up to six knitted colours, including the background. Special dyeing requirements, quantities and lead times are confirmed in your quotation. Our innovation department can assess sourcing or developing other yarns for your brief.

How do you manage shrinkage and fit?

We finish the socks according to their yarn and construction, with washing, steaming and boarding as applicable. We check the finished product against the approved specification to support consistent sizing and fit.

Some dimensional change can occur during washing, depending on the material and care conditions. Follow the product’s care instructions and ask us for a sample if fit is critical.

How should the socks be washed and cared for?

Each sock tag carries the wash and care instructions for the product. Following them helps preserve its fit, colour, appearance and useful life.

Which sizes do you offer?

Women’s, men’s and an intermediate “one size for most” for promotional orders. We confirm the corresponding EU and UK size ranges for your chosen product and can manufacture specific sizes to your requirements.

Whose branding appears on the products?

Your agreed branding. Kingly does not add its promotional logo to your B2B products, tags or packaging. Your order should strengthen the customer relationship you invested in building.

What if I need one sock option for both men and women?

Our Snug Fit sock has no fixed heel position, allowing the wearer to adjust it along the foot and leg. We confirm its intended size range and recommend sample checks where fit is critical.

What is the minimum order quantity?

Selected custom socks start at 50 pairs. Requirements are confirmed for your design, sizes and materials.

Can Kingly support me with socks for self-promotion?

Yes. Ask us about support for promoting your B2B business, including selected free or discounted custom sock projects. Availability, quantities, prices and terms are agreed in advance.

What makes the Naked series a strong sustainability choice?

The Naked series can use our optional 1,300 km European cotton supply chain, bringing cotton sourcing, processing and manufacturing closer together.

Kingly is a member of the European Cotton Alliance. This European route supports visibility, coordination and supply chain resilience, with relevant records to help you assess the product’s environmental credentials.

What makes your sports manufacturing different?

Our specialist sock knitting machinery supports custom sports production. Fit, cushioning, reinforcement and construction are developed around the activity and agreed performance requirements.

Can I order personalised football and rugby socks from 50 pairs?

Yes. Selected styles start at 50 pairs, making custom manufacture accessible to clubs, academies and smaller teams. We confirm specifications and size requirements before production.

Which other sports can you cater for?

Cycling, trekking, mountaineering and other performance applications. Share how the socks will be used, and we will recommend a construction or assess bespoke development.

Which knitwear products do you offer?

Beanies, scarves, gloves, snoods, berets, balaclavas, headbands, hats and other accessories, fully customised and coordinated with your socks, colours and branding.

Can you develop a specific beanie or hat?

Yes. We can assess different knitting gauges, textures, weights and constructions through our EU manufacturing facilities and production partners. We agree the shape, yarn, design and finish around your brief.

What are your hero beanie and scarf products?

Our 240-needle high-definition beanie, with or without a pom-pom, and our HD 240-needle scarf. Both offer full customisation in up to seven colours, with fine knitted detail for clear logo reproduction.

Which yarns can I choose?

Acrylic, cotton and merino, with organic or recycled options where available. We can also assess other yarns for the warmth, feel and finish you require.

What are the minimum quantities and lead times?

Selected knitwear starts at 50 pieces, with eligible styles available from 10 working days. Bespoke development and specially dyed yarns take longer. We confirm terms for each product.

Can labels and packaging be customised?

Yes. Products, labels and packaging can be coordinated around your customer’s brand. Any upgrades are detailed in your quotation.
