Our story begins with George Denholm Armour, OBE, the Scottish painter and illustrator born on 30 January 1864, who died on 17 February 1949. His paintings and drawings captured the character and movement of animals, especially horses. His work remains represented in the National Galleries of Scotland. [21] [22]
For his great-grandson, Kingly founder Rob Armour, that legacy is personal. George’s art inspired Rob and the Kingly logo, connecting the company’s identity to a family tradition of original creativity and close observation.
Rob established Kingly in 2014 with sustainability, integrity and a contribution to society among its founding values. That purpose continues through promotional knitwear people want to wear and keep, made by a genuine producer you can meet. [1]

Elite Manufacturing in the European Union
At our factory in Sopot, Bulgaria, within the European Union, Lonati, BUSI and San Giacomo knitting technology works alongside skilled technicians and our three graphic designers. Original human design, a genuine knitting programme and a physical sample turn your artwork into an approved product. [23] [24]
Production checks, sample matching, packing controls and QR-linked records support consistency. We explain the manufacturing location and the role of Kingly facilities and any EU production partners. Selected production operates 24 hours a day.
One Partner for Your Knitwear Collection
Build your range with KS04 Classic Crew, KS09 Thermal, KS11 Sports and KS05 Bespoke socks, plus Naked Elite, premium merino, children’s and baby styles. Add HD beanies, scarves, gloves and accessories, with 240-needle construction on selected HD knitwear. [2]
Choose cotton, organic, recycled or upcycled options appropriate to your brief and documentation. Pantone matching, DTG, DTF, sublimation and embroidery extend the design possibilities. Sock tags, woven labels, compostable packaging options, Magic compressed textiles and creative garment packaging complete the presentation.

Sustainability You Can Examine
EcoVadis Platinum in 2024 and 2025
Our score rose from 87 to 90. EcoVadis confirms Kingly Ltd.’s Platinum medal, valid through November 2026: the top 1% of companies assessed in the preceding 12 months. [3] [4]
The assessment covers environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. It recognises our company’s sustainability management; product claims are supported by their own evidence.
Facts and Evidence
Behind every pair. Proof you can verify.
If a claim has no proof, why trust it?
We created the Facts and Evidence direction to help protect customer orders. Our developing reference links specifications to dated records, scope and review ownership, distinguishing independent assessments, company records and information awaiting verification.
Kingly manufactures organic cotton socks within its applicable Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) scope. Our own certificate identifies Kingly’s covered operations and products, connecting certified organic fibres to documented processing and environmental and social requirements. [5] [25]
ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Global Recycled Standard, SMETA four-pillar audits and applicable OEKO-TEX records concern Kingly’s own operations or specified products. Independent certification or auditing establishes each document’s dates and scope. [5]
Certificate checks, traceability, transaction records, safety and performance tests, production controls, delivery records and customer feedback support that confidence. The evidence library makes records and corrections accessible.
Digital Product Passports
Our first digital product passport launched in 2025. QR-linked records connect products to specifications, origins and manufacturing routes. We are adding applicable certificates, environmental assessments and care, reuse and disposal guidance, supporting informed procurement and the EU’s evolving passport framework. [20]
Trace the Route and Understand the Impact
Our published 1,300-kilometre EU cotton supply chain story follows the journey to manufacturing. We are assembling supplier, processing location, distance, transport mode and product scope data. [6]
Earlier cradle-to-gate assessment work used BCome. We are assembling current life cycle assessment and supply chain information requested from Climatewise, with the assessor, method, product and boundaries clearly identified. [7]
Dyehouse and Pantone colour development sit alongside evidence on water, energy, chemical control, wastewater, waste and dated environmental improvements. Durability, care, reuse and packaging disposal guidance extend the story beyond the factory.
Explore Facts and Evidence. Choose with confidence.

Making a Difference Beyond the Factory
Kingly Cares
In December 2024, Kingly reported donations of 1,270 pairs: 1,000 for Sofia’s homeless shelters, 170 for the Good for Everyone Foundation and 100 for a social services centre in Dve Mogili. [17]
Our community history also includes the Bulgarian Red Cross, the Center for Humane Policy’s Pink House, Get Started, There Is A Way and Knit Warmth. Project accounts and partner acknowledgements show the contribution behind each story.
Kingly Academy
School visits, internships and two published books bring young people into manufacturing, design and circular thinking. In December 2024, 33 Gianni Rodari School students explored knitting and garment printing, then created decorations from defective socks, yarn cones and textile offcuts. [18] [19]
They received 101 Uses of a Kingly Sock, published by Rob Armour and illustrated by Boryana Ivanova. Practical learning helps the next generation see what materials can become. [19]

Leadership You Can Meet
Working directly with the manufacturer gives you a clear point of responsibility. You can ask who makes your product, check the approved artwork and understand the records behind the order. That openness helps protect the identity you have entrusted to us.
Our story belongs to the designers, technicians, production colleagues, account teams and partners who make the work possible. Factory and ambassador visits, embassy events, industry coverage, blog posts and educational workshops bring that story into view.
Our video series will combine manufacturing demonstrations with customer and partner testimonials. Their experiences, the supporting records and a sample you can hold help you assess Kingly for yourself.
Building the Next Generation of Knitwear
Our artistic legacy lives on through original design. Since 2014, we have pushed sustainability forward through material innovation, manufacturing investment and community work. Our next chapter means better knitwear, clearer product information and more opportunities for young people.
Rob’s ambition is to build a company whose progress encourages others: suppliers improving their practices, trade partners presenting evidence confidently and consumers making informed choices. We work to earn their appreciation through integrity, dignity and respect in every relationship.
We earn lasting respect through dependable service and accountable manufacturing.
